The Jade Championship
The Great Clans have demanded it, and now Tournament of the Jade Championship is held once again. The post has stood empty for centuries, but this position - the most prestigious in the Empire for a shugenja - has developed even greater importance since the death of the Emerald Champion. The highest ranked and most powerful shugenja of every Great Clan compete here to win the role and stand by the Emperor’s side. Inevitably though, while the shugenja nobles compete, even greater games are afoot in the Imperial Court.
